Plate-anchored shear reinforcement bars that simultaneously improve workability and ensure seismic performance.
The "Head-bar" is a shear reinforcement rebar that has a rectangular or circular plate friction-welded to the ends of the rebar. The fixed plate firmly restrains the main rebar, effectively preventing buckling of the main rebar and providing behavior up to failure that is equivalent to that of semi-circular hook rebar.
